We set up and equip computer labs in rural primary schools, run ongoing digital classes, and station a full-time teacher to ensure every student grows up immersed in technology. TechLit Africa is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending intergenerational poverty by harnessing the power of the digital economy. The University of Pretoria Business Incubator (UPBI) is a rapid business incubator based at the University of Pretoria. We help aspiring young entrepreneurs build the companies that will shape the future by equipping them with the tools, skills, and connections that they need to turn that dream into a tangible reality. We here at the UPBI believe that young entrepreneurs are the drivers who will take the world to greater heights of economic justice and involvement for all. All they need is a kickstart to be pointed in the right direction. HOW IT WORKS The UPBI is open to all students of the University of Pretoria, regardless of degree or year of study. To be a part of the incubator, students must first apply with either a business idea or an already running business, and then be interviewed. Once they have passed the application process, students are inducted into the incubator as incubatees. They are then eligible to attend a series of talks hosted by select speakers. The incubatees will thereafter take the knowledge they have accumulated at the negotiations and pitch their startups to a panel of judges. WAN-Hive Ghana is a Community of Enterprising Female Entrepreneurs and Innovators in Ghana. We Discover, Develop and Deploy vibrant and forward-thinking females to create sustainable solutions. Women in Business Accelerator program (WiBA) The Women in Business Acceleration Program is specifically crafted to empower and uplift women-led businesses, acknowledging the unique challenges faced by female entrepreneurs. This program aims to equip our entrepreneurs with essential resources such as access to investment opportunities, funding support for their businesses, and valuable guidance through mentorship with industry experts. By providing these resources, we strive to facilitate the growth and success of women entrepreneurs on their entrepreneurial journey. Digital Skills Training for Girls The Digital Skills Training for Girls is an initiative by WAN-Hive Ghana to equip young ladies between the ages of 15 to 20 with practical training in Basic Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills to aid them in their academic and professional journey. This is a Bi-annual training program to support girls in both Junior and Senior High Schools with basic computer skills. This program seeks to break the gender parity in the digital space by equipping high school girls with basic ICT skills in Microsoft office, surfing the internet, social media engagement, and other digital skills.
